Open Meadow Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 16, 2026  ·  Last Updated: October 1, 2026

Open Meadow respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Open Meadow LLC ("Open Meadow," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit www.openmeadow.io (the "Site") or communicate with us in connection with the Site.

Open Meadow LLC is a Massachusetts limited liability company based in Pepperell, Massachusetts.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers the main Open Meadow website and communications related to that website, including general inquiries, feedback, and partnership proposals. It does not govern information collected through Open Meadow's separate products or communications handled in connection with those products.

Open Meadow products have separate privacy notices describing their practices. Please review the notice presented by the product you use. A link from a product to the main Site does not make this Policy that product's privacy notice.

ReadyNest is not an Open Meadow product. It is operated separately by Open Meadow's founders, and information collected through ReadyNest is governed by the ReadyNest Privacy Policy, not this Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not govern the privacy practices of third-party websites, retailers, platforms, or services linked from the Site.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide when you email or otherwise contact us, including:

  • your name and email address;
  • your organization, role, or professional affiliation, if you provide it;
  • the contents of your message, request, feedback, or proposal; and
  • other information you choose to provide.

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request and we have asked you to provide it.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting, security, and technical service providers may process technical information needed to deliver, maintain, and protect the Site. This information may include:

  • your Internet Protocol address;
  • browser and device type;
  • operating system;
  • referring page or website;
  • pages requested;
  • date and time of access;
  • general location derived from an Internet Protocol address; and
  • technical logs relating to performance, security, and errors.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, the main Site does not use advertising cookies, nonessential analytics, or cross-site behavioral tracking. The Site and its service providers may use technologies necessary to deliver, secure, and maintain the Site, including technical logging for these purposes.

If we introduce nonessential analytics, advertising technologies, or materially different tracking practices, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices, consent requests, or choices before those practices begin.

Information Collected by Open Meadow Products

An Open Meadow product may collect additional information, such as account information, questionnaire responses, preferences, user-created content, or information used to generate personalized recommendations or content. Those practices are described in that product's own privacy notice.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information covered by this Privacy Policy to:

  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • respond to questions, feedback, partnership inquiries, and support requests;
  • communicate with you about an inquiry or relationship you initiated;
  • evaluate potential partnerships and business opportunities;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, misuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
  • comply with applicable law, legal process, and enforceable governmental requests; and
  • protect the rights, safety, and property of Open Meadow, our users, and others.

We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without providing appropriate notice and obtaining consent where required.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We may disclose information to vendors and contractors that help us host, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Site, manage email and other communications, or respond to inquiries. Their handling of information is subject to applicable agreements and law. Disclosures to these providers are for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Legal Requirements and Protection

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law or legal process; respond to a valid governmental request; investigate fraud, misuse, or security issues; enforce our agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Open Meadow, our users, or others.

Business Changes

Information may be disclosed or transferred as part of a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction. We will take reasonable steps to require the recipient to handle personal information consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. Any materially different use remains subject to the notice and consent requirements described in this Policy.

At Your Direction

We may disclose information when you ask us to do so or otherwise provide consent.

5. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not sell personal information covered by this Policy, whether for money or other valuable consideration. We do not share that information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

The disclosures to service providers and others described in Section 4 are separate from sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Open Meadow products and third-party websites have their own practices, which are described in their respective privacy notices.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to communications, maintaining business records, protecting the Site, resolving disputes, and complying with legal, tax, accounting, or reporting obligations.

Retention periods vary according to the nature of the information, why it was collected, its sensitivity, and applicable legal or operational requirements. We may retain information for a longer period when required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults, including parents, caregivers, educators, professionals, and organizational representatives. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at hello@openmeadow.io. If we learn that we collected such information without legally required authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information about you covered by this Privacy Policy. We will consider and respond to requests subject to applicable law and lawful exceptions, including necessary security, recordkeeping, and legal-compliance needs.

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable privacy law covers our processing, you may have additional rights, such as the right to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal information;
  • access or obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of personal information;
  • opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; and
  • appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request.

To submit a request, email hello@openmeadow.io with the subject line Privacy Request. We may request information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant records and verify your identity or authority where permitted or required by law. We will not require identity verification for an opt-out request where applicable law prohibits it.

We will respond within any time period required by applicable law. If you have a legal right to appeal a decision, reply to our response or email us with the subject line Privacy Appeal, explaining the request you want reconsidered. Our response will include any further appeal or complaint information required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.

10. Do Not Track and Privacy Preference Signals

The Site does not change its data-collection practices in response to legacy browser "Do Not Track" signals. These signals are different from legally recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control.

The main Site does not currently engage in cross-site behavioral tracking or the sales, sharing, or targeted advertising described in Section 5. We honor valid opt-out preference signals to the extent required by applicable law.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to Open Meadow products and third-party websites, platforms, or services. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. We do not control third parties' privacy, security, or content practices. Your interaction with a third party is governed by that third party's privacy policy and terms.

12. International Visitors

Open Meadow is based in the United States, and the Site is primarily intended for users in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.

Nothing in this Policy limits rights or transfer protections that apply under mandatory law.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on the Site and update the "Last Updated" date above. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by law before applying the change.
